ULak Micros (“we”, “our” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you use ULak Micros Pro, how we use it, and how we protect it.

Information we collect

Personal information

Name and email address for account creation
Age, gender, weight and height for nutrition calculations
Activity level and dietary preferences
Health information relevant to nutrition planning

Usage information

Meal plans generated and recipes viewed
Subscription status and payment information
Text sent to the optional AI features (patient brief, plan rationale, food notes)
Meals your clients tick as eaten on a shared plan link
Device and browser information

How we use your information

Generate personalised nutrition plans and meal recommendations
Draft optional AI summaries (a patient brief or plan rationale) when you ask for them
Process payments and manage your account
Improve our services and develop new features
Send important account and service communications
Comply with legal obligations

Data protection and security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect your data:

HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
Encrypted storage at rest
Security reviews and vulnerability assessments
Access controls, with each practitioner’s data kept apart by row-level security
Practices aligned with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (India) and GDPR principles

Third-party services

We use these providers to run the service:

Supabase: Database and sign-in
Razorpay: Payment processing
Google (Gemini): Optional AI drafting of patient briefs and plan rationales, only when you use those features
Vercel and Render: Website and application hosting
Resend: Account and subscription emails
Sentry: Error reports, with health data and identities removed
PostHog: Product usage analytics
WhatsApp (Meta): Plans you choose to send through WhatsApp are delivered under your own WhatsApp account

These providers are contractually bound to protect your data and to use it only to provide the services we have engaged them for.

Your clients’ data

When you, as a nutrition professional, enter a client’s details, health information or measurements, you decide why and how that data is used, and we process it on your behalf to provide the service. Obtain your client’s consent before entering their data or sharing a plan with them. A shared plan link shows the plan to anyone who has the link until it expires or you turn it off.

Your rights under the DPDP Act 2023

As a data principal, you have the right to:

Access your personal data
Correct inaccuracies in your data
Request erasure of your data
Opt out of processing for marketing
Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf
Seek redress of grievances

Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as the purposes in this policy need it, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. You can ask us to delete your data at any time by writing to prosupport@ulakmicros.com.

Where your data is stored

Our database runs with Supabase in its Singapore region. Some of the providers above process data in other countries. These transfers are made with appropriate safeguards, as the DPDP Act 2023 requires.

Children’s privacy

ULak Micros Pro is not intended for children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will tell you about material changes by email, or with a clear notice on this website, before they take effect.
